Most apartment communities will also require a deposit on your apartment home before they begin the background check. Many apartment renters are always a little hesitant about this process.

Apartment Rental History

The apartment community will check to see if you have any broken leases or there are any charges from any previous apartment communities on your credit. If you have a job you will just need you W-2 or bank statements if you are self employed.

Criminal Record
